ACORN Conference - 19 - 22 May 2010

ACORN (Australian College of Operating Room Nurses) held it's 14th conference at the PCEC in Perth WA. Members and guests from all over Australia and as far away as Papua New Guinea attended.
Judith Cornell, guest orator, held everyone spellbound during the recounting of her career as a nurse of many years. Following Judith's oration, awards were presented and followed by drinks and nibblies at the medical exhibition downstairs.
On Friday night, the gala dinner sponsored by Johnson & Johnson Medical was enjoyed by everyone with even the sponsors hitting the dance floor for a fun night.
Senator Judith Adams was also present and delivered a great speech which was enjoyed by all present.
Dr Charlie Teo, world renowned nuero surgeon, also attended the gala, congratulating awards winners and dancing up a storm with other guests!
Thankyou to Fran who was my guide, for an entertaining view of OR nurses from around Australia.
Also thankyou to the naughty table at the gala dinner for an entertaining evening (you know who you are!)
Congratulations to Promaco Conventions for organising another successful conference -
